Magazine Junkie

Ok, so I’m a bit of a gossip junkie. I used to be addicted to all the weekly and monthly mags – OK! Magazine, Famous, Grazia, Woman’s Day, New Idea, Madison, Cleo, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, InStyle, Marie Claire, Shop Till You Drop and Cosmopolitan (after L’Oréal Paris Melbourne Fashion Week I haven’t purchased this mag again – read my earlier post to find out why! https://kirstensstylereport.wordpress.com/2009/12/29/l%e2%80%99oreal-melbourne-fashion-week-boring)

I love escaping into the world of celebrity and catching up with what they are up to, where they have been, who they are seeing and what they are wearing. I have also built up quite a collection of FREE gifts. My highlights recently have been Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara, ModelCo Lipgloss with light and a Kookaï headband. FREE! Woooo! 🙂

I can’t believe I used to spend so much money on magazines every week! I have now just managed to narrow it down to my monthly Vogue subscription that comes right to my door and Ok! Magazine which I sneak in with the grocery shopping every week.

If the Choo fits…

My best friend got a pair of Jimmy Choos for her birthday. I am sooo jealous – but I am also absolutely delighted for her! We have both always said that yes we would love a pair of Jimmy Choos, but we never thought that either one of us would ever actually own a pair. It’s one of those things you say when you’re chatting about what you would splurge on if you had thousands of dollars to just throw away.

So when her fiancé handed her a present in the shape of a shoebox on the morning of her birthday she couldn’t believe her luck. She called me immediately and we jumped around on the phone together until I really had to get to work. I told her that I couldn’t wait to meet her Choos and try them on at her birthday party the following night.

On his mission in finding her perfect Choo, her fiancé visited the Jimmy Choo store at Chadstone. He couldn’t find anything he liked so he decided to order them online instead as they had a much bigger range. He raided her shoe rack in search of her shoe size only to find that the website had different sizing to the shoes she had. The shoes she had were also different sizes as they were different styles and from different stores. So like any other guy on a mission, he googled. He figured that her pointy shoes must be bigger than her peep toe and strappy shoes because of the point. So he ordered half a size smaller. His logic was spot on because they fitted her perfectly.

I met her Choos the other night and they are just beautiful. I can’t wait to get a pair of my own one day.
