Nars Primer Vs Mecca to save face 30+

I find that using a makeup primer is the best way to make your makeup stay put for longer. They prepare your skin and create a smooth and flawless surface for makeup application. It allows foundation to go on smoothly and blend easily. A primer can be worn by itself or with liquid or powder foundation. It evens out skin tone, disguises imperfections, stops oil and shine, nourishes and protects skin, fills fine lines and wrinkles and makes pores less visible while still allowing skin to breath.

Nars Makeup Primer 50ml $95 (White tube): This Primer gives your skin a flawless finish that creates an evenly textured base for under makeup. The formula moisturizes your complexion with natural extracts including aloe, grape seed and honey. The gel-cream formula does not leave a film, helps your makeup stay put and prevents cakeing. The only real problem I have with this is the hefty price-tag however it definitely delivers what it says it would.

Nars Makeup Primer with SPF 50ml $95 (Black tube): I find this gel-cream formula the same as the Nars Makeup Primer without SPF. The only difference is that this offers sun protection and I found it to be a bit greasier. I would recommend this if you don’t have any sunscreen in any of your other makeup products. It is a lightweight formula that hydrates the skin and prepares your skin for a flawless make up application. It also does not leave a film.

Mecca To Save Face SPF 30+ Hydrating Facial Sunscreen 100g $45: This has a non-oily and non-whitening formula. It contains SPF 30+ with hyaluronic acid, pomegranate extract and vitamin E and provides protection against UVA and UVB rays. The formula is lightweight and hydrating with a matte cream finish that won’t cause any breakouts and doesn’t leave a film. It is not sticky or smelly and leaves skin smooth for makeup application. A little bit goes a long way and will last for ages. Definitely good value.

I use the above products as a primer before applying foundation. I apply on clean skin first and let it sink into my skin for a few minutes and then apply my foundation. I don’t use a primer as well as moisturizer. I find the primer, along with liquid foundation has enough moisturizer in it. You can also mix the primer with your foundation and apply together.

All these products left my skin feeling soft, my skin tone more even and my complexion a more flawless finish.
