Adopt an Animal

Animal adoption is a fantastic way to help support Zoos in Victoria including Melbourne Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary and Werribee Open Range Zoo. Adopting an animal is a way you can contribute directly to the care, wellbeing, education and conservation programs of our wildlife.

You can choose to adopt from a list of animals including Elephants, Giraffes, Gorillas, Koalas or even Rhinoceros’. If you choose to go ahead with animal adoption you will receive a personalised adoption package valid for 12 months which includes an electronic image of your adopted animal, e-Fact sheet about your animal, email updates about your animal and the Zoos Victoria e-newsletter.

Zoos Victoria

Payment can be made annually (min.$75), monthly (min.$10) or even quarterly(min.$25) via direct deductions from your credit card. If you do not want to commit to a full year you can donate money to help these animals. All financial gifts of $2 or more are tax deductible.

I hope you show your support with this very special program by making a donation or adopting an animal. I am going to adopt a Meerkat and call it Coco (after Coco Chanel!) – they are so damn cute!

  1. Morgz adopted me a giraffe (my very favourite animal) from World Wildlife Fund for Mothers Day a couple of years back. His or her name is Modapre and his picture takes pride of place at home. Rx

    • Aww, she is such a good daughter! I would never have guessed that you liked Giraffes – I love your place, the renovations look amazing. I will definitely look out for Modapre next time I’m around! 🙂
