St. Patrick’s Day

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Today is St. Patrick’s Day – But who knows what this actually means?
It is a holiday that falls on the 17th of March each year. It began as a Christian holiday observed by the Irish to commemorate Saint Patrick the patron saint of Ireland and a celebration of Ireland’s culture. It is now recognised around the world. Ireland have a public holiday so they can celebrate all day and the rest us have to try to catch up with them after work. This might be a blessing in disguise as the Irish have stamina. I’m not so sure about the rest of us!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I will be thinking of my Uncle and cousins in Ireland this evening and I am also looking forward to seeing everyone get their Irish on during today’s celebrations. I am sure the wearing of the green will be out in force – green clothing, green ribbons and shamrocks, green leprechauns and even green beer, guinness and cider!

Cheers!
Love Kirst xx
